Strand Concrete is a turnkey commercial and residential concrete contractors specializing in all types of construction such as Tilt Wall, Structural Slabs, Concrete on Deck, Piers, Formed and Monolithic Grade Beams, Paving, Sidewalks, Cast-in-Place Concrete as well as selective demolition and excavation
The Construction Controller will manage the financial reporting and planning functions. This position works with the CEO to ensure that the corporate finances are monitored and controlled cost effectively, and that financial plans and forecasts are maintained to support top management. This position requires an in-depth knowledge of the organization s financial systems and provides guidance and leadership to other members of the team to ensure assigned functions are completed timely.
Qualifications: Required:
Bachelor s Degree in Accounting or Business 5+ years of Accounting/Finance experience with construction experience 5+ years construction industry experience at an Accounting Manager level or higher Accounting system administration Corporate income tax experience Excellent verbal and written communication, along with the ability to organize and prioritize Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision Embodies personal integrity and keeps confidences Proficiency in Microsoft applications and Quickbooks
Preferred: CPA designation
Responsibilities and Tasks: Timely close of monthly financial statement preparation/review Manage annual audit for Construction entities Preparation of bank compliance reporting and monthly borrowing base calculations Treasury management Review financial date from subcontractors and suppliers as part of pre-qualification process Make recommendations for accounting department process improvements Additional responsibilities may be assigned
