Front Desk Specialist Job Opening in Portland, Oregon - Evolution Healthcare and Fitness, an integrative healthcare and fitness company focused on providing our clientele with a diverse set of resources to enable them to make informed choices about their individual healthcare and fitness needs. We have a vast variety of integrative services to offer including sports Chiropractic, Acupuncture, Massage Therapy, Physical Therapy, Naturopathic, dietetics, as well as personal training, group classes, and altitude training.

Our sole focus is to provide our clientele with a diverse set of resources that enable them to make informed choices about their individual healthcare and fitness needs. Evolution?s practitioners and trainers are passionate about getting people better! We are the evolution of healthcare and fitness. Our front desk team supports a total of 18 providers and is responsible for general office, reception, and basic billing duties.
This position allows for flexible hours and ability to work around your school schedule. Clinic hours are M-F 7:00 am-7:00 pm and Saturday 8:30 am ? 2:30 pm.
Job Description:
Check patients in and out
Answer phone calls and emails in a timely and professional manner
Charting and office organization
Schedule new and established patients
Provide excellent customer service to all patients and providers
Scan and upload documents into our EMR system
Follow HIPAA compliance when communicating with patients and other staff
Process patient referrals, laboratory orders, results, and imaging
Process patient claims through insurance, motor vehicle accidents, and worker?s compensation
Event and service promotion
Miscellaneous projects and research
Faxing and other administrative duties
Inventory reports and maintenance
General knowledge of fitness services
Requirements:
Customer service skills
Time management
Computer skills: online scheduling software, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Attention to detail
Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks
Positive attitude
Preferred Qualifications:
Basic knowledge of insurance terminology
Basic medical terminology
Experience in a customer service role
