Quality Technician Job Opening in Versailles, Connecticut - Amgraph Packaging, Inc . is one of North America?s leaders in environmental stewardship and is recognized as the top ?Green? We are currently seeking an experienced Quality Technician to support our Continuous Improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities:
All activities must support the company mission and objectives.
Alternative shifts may be required to cover the 24 hour manufacturing shifts
Collect data, verify and validate via audits; work at the reduction of production down time and increase production efficiency.
Collect and Maintain Daily Retain Quality System
Quality Plan of Control (QPOC) sheet data collection and distribution
Support Quality Engineer with In-process Nonconformance Investigations
Perform Customer Complaint Material Audits; test material for CoF, repeat, width, etc.
Generate Certificate of Analysis and Compliance for customers accordingly
Perform Shop floor audits/SMED Single Minute Exchange of Dies (Quick Changeovers) observations, record and report.
Audit the skill and quality process to maintain the gains of set-up times and minimal material usage.
Perform Monthly SQF audits
Collection of 5?s Housekeeping forms; provide feedback, report activity, update images as improvements are made.
Data Reporting and Analysis
Create Customer Complaint daily/ weekly reports
Create Internal Nonconformance report and distribute
Create Supplier Report and distribute
Create excel spread sheets from material analysis (data) and present to management
Training
Work with the crews to ensure that all Quality Test training from Training Matrix is written clearly and concisely and is performed accordingly.
Ensure the training is appropriate and effective through auditing.
Assist with SQF training
Database Management
Support Document Control database and Customer Complaint and Nonconformance systems.
Support IT with converting to Electronic Quality Plan of Control implementation and data collection
Xrite Colorcert Back Up/ Ink Database
Back up on GC MASS SPEC in R&D lab
Miscellaneous Projects
Isolated projects will come up that are not necessarily within the normal scope of activities. These projects may move to the top of the priority list as needs dictate.
Self-starter, initiating functional improvements with constant effort towards cost reductions and/or increased productivity and salability.
Professionalism in a collaborative work environment with excellent oral and written communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products; Access, Word, Excel a must. Software savvy. Printing/Inks/Color Science backgrounds a plus.
