Develop, build and maintain business by identifying qualified prospects, presenting services and solutions and closing deals. Maintain strong relationships with current clients for retention and to upsell as appropriate, and for references and referrals to potential clients. Recognize, pursue and close business opportunities by utilizing various methods of developing leads, focusing on decision makers, evaluating the prospect?s position in the industry and researching and analyzing sales options.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Develop and continually evaluate ongoing activity plans to optimize time and effort for daily prospecting of new and existing clients and account management.
Develop a presence in the marketplace by joining professional organizations such as business associations and Chambers of Commerce, optimizing participation to gain exposure to qualified prospects.
Maintain appropriate contact with current clients for retention purposes and to stay aware of changing needs for upselling opportunities and to gain references and referrals.
Research companies and other organizations to determine best means of connecting with the buyer, which could include cold calling, and get appointments
Close the sale by addressing prospect?s needs and concerns, and consistently moving the prospect towards commitment.
Manage a balanced pipeline opportunity, forecasting revenue in CRM software.
Remaining current on industry trends, market activities and competitors for RSS marketing strategies and product improvement and as a tool to close a sale.
Meet or exceed assigned quotas.
Complete all administrative functions on time, including the administration CRM software.
Maintain confidential information in regards to both client and Record Storage Systems.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be a self-starter who is driven to achieve results.
Must be comfortable with cold calling potential clients and utilizing all methods of lead development.
Possess a positive attitude with excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills and a high level of energy and enthusiasm.
Ability to sell to and manage all levels of relationships including Director, VP, CIO, CFO and COO.
Must have the ability to use a consultative and solution selling approach.
Must be a team player working closely with Operations and other business units.
Good analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to negotiate.
Strong PC skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, CRM)
Must be able to travel through marketplace, providing own transportation.
A four year bachelor degree is highly preferred.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Prior sales experience is not a requirement, but is highly preferred.
Three to four years of experience in a business environment.
