Product Manager (Buyer) Job Opening in los angeles, California - Product Manager (Buyer) A leading retail website is currently searching for a Product Manager with a minimum of 3 years experience buying, sourcing and importing finished goods for resale. This individual must show strong negotiation skills, communicate effectively, be decisive, and have a discerning eye for quality. The ideal candidate is a dependable, proactive, forward-thinking individual who takes ownership in his work. Qualifications should include: � Previous experience in major name brand manufacturer. � 3 years combined experience importing finished goods from China and inventory management. � Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills. � Strong negotiation and analytical skills. � Must be willing to travel. � Fluency in Mandarin is a plus. Duties will include: � Create and develop relationships with manufacturers with emphasis on managing importation of finished goods for resale. � Place purchase orders and manage relationships with domestic distributors and wholesalers. � Improve/implement demand oriented inventory planning. � Analyze trends and identify new products to ramp up current product offerings. � Oversee inventory management (coordinating inventory counts, audits, etc.). � Develop efficiencies to cut costs and minimize inventory losses.
