Academic Advisor - ADEP Job Opening in los angeles, California - Academic Advisor - ADEP CALIFORNIA LUTHERAN UNIVERSITY Academic Advisor, Adult Degree Evening Program (ADEP) BASIC FUNCTION: This position reports to the Director of ADEP and is responsible for the advisement of the students in the ADEP program throughout the academic year. The main focus of this position is creating educational plans online for each student, providing student support during the registration process, and support throughout the term improving academic performance among the ADEP students. Involved in this position are a full range of moderate to complex work assignments including the use of sound judgment, discretion, and decision-making. This position will act as the main contact person to students for advisement. The ability to provide information and apply interpersonal skills and problem solving abilities when interacting with internal and external customers is of utmost importance.
