Senior Cost Accountant Job Opening in Dallas, Texas - An international manufacturer of printing & imaging products is seeking a senior cost accountant in Dallas TX.

Develop standard costs based on foreign purchase price & domestic add-on requirements to ensure corporate guidelines and general accepted accounting principles are being followed.
Set standard costs in SAP financial systems. Establish inter-company pricing to subsidiary as part of the semi-annual budgetary process.
Semi Annual Consolidation of Sales Plans, including revenue and COS plans by territory.
Monthly & Quarterly KPI Reporting
Prepare reports and financial statements with comments to communicate financial results & variances to foreign management, domestic management and external auditors.
Prepare account analysis & reconciliation for key balance sheet accounts including inventory, prepaid assets & liabilities (current & long term).
Develop & support Inventory Obsolescence & Capitalization reserve requirements.
Reconcile inventory of third party logistic (3PL) partners to ensure processes general accounting principles are being followed.
Travel to & conduct cycle count reviews at various 3PL partners.
Prepare commission earnings report based on salesperson achievement of goals and communicate results to corporate payroll function for proper payment according to annual compensation goals.
Develop & maintain departmental budgetary tools & instructions to non-financial departments during semi-annual budgetary cycle.
Review marketing promotional requests for payment or reimbursement to assure company guidelines for payment/credit memos are in compliance.
Manage the SAP Internal Order system for Marketing project cost control & reconciliation
Review & approve Travel & Entertainment expenses for verification of company policy/procedures.
Develop & maintain contingent warranty liability based on future warranty population & historical costs.
Requirements:
B.S. in accounting required (MBA preferred)
7 years cost accounting experience working in a fast pace environment
Cost Accounting / Inventory Accounting / Management Accounting experience highly preferred
Past experience working with personnel and/or 3rd party logistics
Japanese language skills is a big plus, but not necessary.
