EDI Project Manager (Eligibility Services) Job Opening in Chicago, Illinois - POSITION SUMMARY:
The position is responsible for the ongoing project management and support of the various eligibility projects at Allied. This position works directly with Allied?s clients, trading partners and third party enrollment vendors to facilitate the setup and processing of electronic data transfers and data loads. Additionally, the position will work with Allied?s programming staff to define requirements and implement electronic data exchanges. Must have experience with 834 formats.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Provide project management for the implementation of inbound and outbound electronic eligibility and accumulator data exchanges using industry standard formats such as the HIPAA X12 834
Conduct and manage comprehensive client assessments to determine technological and other related requirements for the eligibility processes and workflows
Work with Allied?s programming staff to define requirements and implement electronic data exchanges
Prepares and maintain eligibility file project plans
Demonstrate understanding of Allied business needs and workflows with respect to eligibility processes and workflows
Gather and asses information regarding issues and potential challenges that may impact the project plan and eligibility workflows
Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential risks and devise contingency plans throughout project life cycle
Confers with appropriate personnel to ensure successful functioning of newly implemented systems and procedures
Lead weekly status meetings and provide metrics to executive leadership team
Provide day to day management of electronic files and interfaces
Act as a liaison for eligibility extract setup for various outside vendors
Assist with other file projects such as governmental filings and ID card set
SKILLS & ABILITIES :
Experience with desktop or Internet based project management tools such as Microsoft Project, AtTask, Basecamp, etc. required.
Experience with workflow and flowcharting tools such as Visio, SmartDraw, etc. required.
Intermediate level work experience with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Access and Power Point software applications required.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 5 years of experience in similar role preferably in healthcare and/or insurance.
Previous project management experience or training.
EDUCATION:
College Bachelor Degree required.
CERTIFICATIONS AND/OR LICENSES:
Project management certification desired.
