Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager Job Opening in New Haven, Indiana - Ensuring proper safety for all employees, visitors, and contractors.
Responsible for compliance with all applicable EHS laws, regulation, standards, and company policies.
Recommend, develop and implement environmental policies and procedures in regards to MACT Standard, SPCC, SWPPP, Tier II, TRI, and others.
Perform audits of safety and environmental programs on a regular basis, to ensure compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
Partner with all levels of the organization to promote Health, Safety, and Environmental topics.
Continual safety auditing, testing, and training for current and new employees, including monthly safety meetings with staff.
Accurately document and record confidential information.
Inspection of safety processes and equipment for proper use, working with appropriate departments to assure effectiveness.
Conduct accident investigations to ensure prompt corrective action.
Implement effective emergency response action programs.
Collect and analyze data and trends to recommend improvements.
Purchase necessary items to ensure safety and environmental compliance.
Manage contractors related to safety and environmental systems and equipment.
Manage and administer facilities worker?s compensation matters, partnering with other departments as needed.
Maintain SDS sheets for the facility.
Remain current on knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental and safety regulations.
Oversee Scale House operations and supervise security personnel
Partner with internal and external groups to ensure regulations are being met.
