Clinical Referral Coordinator Job Opening in Westerville, Ohio - DASCO Home Medical Equipment is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated full-time Clinical Referral Coordinator for its Westerville location.
SUMMARY:
As a supplement to Referral Coordinator functions, this position also performs pulse oximetry set-up and follow-up along with a variety of respiratory related follow-up tasks.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Contacts patients requiring pulse oximetry (pulse ox) to introduce DASCO and the pulse ox process
Sets pulse ox machine for new use; ships to patient and track delivery
Loads order into system in an accurately and timely manner
Downloads test results and sends to doctor
Cleans returned machines and changes batteries
Set and change pressures on PAP machines per physician's orders
Review and process non-invasive ventilator orders
Request needed insurance authorizations from a variety of companies
Schedules patients with local branch healthcare professional for Medicaid re-qualification
If patient or doctor requests discontinuance of oxygen, requests script and follows-up for testing to confirm oxygen services are no longer needed
Contact patients and physicians as needed to discuss usage compliance and follow-up
Obtain and forward patients records from physician as required by referrals
Follow up on non-compliant patients
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma or GED equivalent
LPN license
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Six months? experience in a field.
