Lead Auditor Job Opening in Robinsonville, Mississippi - Essential Functions:
Responsibilities ?
Perform supervisory duties in the absence of the Casino Controller.
Ability to train and work effectively with team members of varying degrees of experience.
Ensures that daily audits are performed in accordance with the Mississippi Gaming Commission?s Minimum Internal Control Standards and the company?s submitted system of Internal Controls. Can perform any audit within the department.
Keeps department management informed of all pertinent information regarding gaming revenue recognition and related activity.
Prepares department schedule with the goal of minimizing labor costs.
Assists in the training of team members with a goal of improving their worth to the company and maintaining high morale.
Assists in month-end and/or year-end closing process as requested by management.
Assists in internal, external, regulatory and miscellaneous audits as requested.
Maintains historical financial and statistical data.
Assists in the reconciliation and balancing of applicable general ledger accounts.
Maintain positive relationship with all department heads.
Any and all other tasks or projects as assigned.
Requirements:
High School Diploma.
Rudimentary accounting skills required.
Strong math skills.
Ability to operate a 10-key adding machine.
Experience with microcomputer software including Excel and Word preferred.
Six months to one year Gaming Revenue Audit experience preferred.
Mississippi Gaming Commission Work Permit required.
