As a member of our Sales department, you will be responsible for acquiring new business, building existing business relationships, and providing world class customer service to all of our clients. You must have some sales experience and be comfortable conducting business over the telephone, as well as be motivated to exceed company and personal sales targets.
You will be required to perform the following on an on-going basis:
Duties and Responsibilities
Business to business cold-calling to attain prospects and new clients in accordance with company sales activity expectations and goals
Respond to and initiate telephone contact with all potential clients
Cultivate positive relationships with all prospects and new clients to build a foundation towards referral opportunities
Qualify prospects to determine if they yield potential for future business
Provide clients customized solutions to transportation needs and related issues
Negotiate pricing to service all prospect and client?s needs
Trace each shipment until the point of delivery and provide our clients with real time status information on their freight
Customer Service
Maintain continuous contact with existing customers through e-mails and telephone calls
Solicit ongoing business and build strong relationships
Ensure that customer expectations are met, issues are resolved effectively and in a timely manner and be proactive to the needs and requirements of customers
Collect all relevant paperwork and information required to have the client set-up with the company
Qualifications
College or University graduate preferred
2 years? experience and proven success in Sales required
Outbound call experience as an asset
Customer service skills, including the ability to listen to and cater to the varying needs of a range of customers, dealing with customers in a courteous manner and excellent communication skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks, including prioritizing competing tasks and changing situations
Must be goal oriented, proactive, self-disciplined and able to demonstrate a high level of effective sales productivity
High degree of interpersonal skills
Above average math skills
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills effectively
Critical thinking and above average problem solving skills necessary
Attention to detail, ensuring high levels of accuracy and identifying errors and omissions
High degree of telephone etiquette, confidence and professionalism in interacting with customers and carrier partners
Working Conditions
Small team environment, office atmosphere
Spending time on the telephone speaking with customers and carriers
Hours
Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, including a one hour unpaid lunch
Salary and Benefits Range
Starting base wage is set with a bonus and incentive structure in place.
