Sr. Accountant Job Opening in Bridgewater, New jersey - Position Overview The Sr. Accountant performs the accounting and reporting responsibilities supported by the Finance organization related to revenue accounting, reconciliation, and reporting. Various day-to-day accounting tasks include booking journal entries, reconciling accounts, preparing reports, and analyzing financial data. The position will be heavily involved in the month end close and reporting process. The Sr. Accountant will be responsible for supporting the Manager, Accounts Receivable and Manager, Revenue Recognition.
Duties and Responsibilities
Assist with managing financial controls with respect to revenue recognition by understanding the impact of agreements, policies, product pricing, etc.
Actively participate in the revenue accounting process to improve data analytics, processes and reporting
Support collaborative revenue close activities, including preparing monthly revenue accounting for certain collaboration arrangements, including journal entries and other supporting documentation
Review and interpret revenue contracts and agreements
Perform reconciliation of various customer accounts
Collaborate with key contacts in the Commercial and Supply Chain organizations
Perform other various balance sheet reconciliations
Perform ad hoc reporting and special projects as needed
Experience and Qualifications
Bachelor?s degree in Accounting
CPA required
5+ years of accounting experience required, preferably both public and private organizations
Previous accounting experience in a pharmaceutical and or manufacturing environment required
Ability to collaborate across and within different levels of the organization
Ability to work independently with strong attention to accuracy and detail
Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel
