Municipal Waterworks Sales Representative Job Opening in Richmond, Virginia - Miller Supply Company was founded as a waterworks supply company in 1965 by Colonel David Miller USAF after retiring from the service. In the beginning he ran Miller Supply out of his garage in Laurinburg, NC and traveled to water utilities himself to call on customers. It was a one-man operation in those days. But, with time, it grew into a business he passed on to his sons Bill and Steve Miller. Today Miller Supply has customers in three states: Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina. It is still a family business, owned and operated by Colonel Miller?s son Steve who proudly carries on his father?s vision of a family-run company that cares for its customers and is dedicated to providing them with quality products and the highest level of service.
Miller Supply is currently looking for a sales representative to cover the state of Virginia, where we have had a footprint for many years. Potential employee may reside anywhere in Virginia, but must be able to traverse the entire state on a monthly basis. Some experience of distribution and collections in public utilities preferred. Some experience in water meters and water meter reading systems preffered. The job is a salaried position until the employee decides to switch to commission-based pay.
