The Position
Z Capital is seeking a Junior Investment Fund Accountant to join its Lake Forest, IL office. The position is responsible for: the timely processing of daily cash flows; ensuring the highest level of customer service and transparency for current investors; maintenance of fund and portfolio accounting records; and assisting in production of financial reports of the funds, capital statements, call and distribution letters for investors.
Key Responsibilities will include:
Process daily cash flows in general ledger and in portfolio accounting Use that information to assist in cash projections
Maintain bank reconciliations and reconcile all general ledger, proprietary and portfolio accounting systems
Generate investor capital statements quarterly and capital and distribution letters as needed, for investors
Coordinate and assist fund accounting, management accounting and investor relations teams on ad hoc requests as well as recurring deliverables and regulatory filings
Assist in production of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statement reporting, tax reporting and regulatory filings
Substantiate various Balance Sheet and Income Statement line items with detailed reconciliations and analyses

Candidate Requirements:
