Financial Analyst Job Opening in New York, New york - Position Summary
The Financial Analyst participates in month end close processing and performs administrative tasks. The Financial Analyst also participates in the production of various reports.
Major Responsibilities
Participate in the month end close process including forecasting, actual vs. budget, expense entries
Support the preparation of the management reporting package and other ad hoc financial reporting
Review and monitor inter-company transactions, liaise with counterparties and resolve all differences
Assist in construction of financial statements for subsidiaries
Assist with interim and year-end audit with external auditors
Assist in tax provision requests
Support the controller with the revenue run rate analysis
Taking over sections of revenue reporting and analysis on a monthly basis
Requirements
Bachelor?s degree in finance or accounting
Ability to communicate effectively with staff and senior management
Self-motivated; ability to adapt to change and fast-paced work environment
Able to work independently with some direction
Proficiency in Excel and strong knowledge of pivot tables
Qualifications
Knowledge of financial statement construction and flow
2-4 years? experience in financial services
CPA a plus
Working knowledge of MS Access preferred
Special Requirements
Occasional late hours to meet month end deadlines
