Position Outline:
The Inside Sales Representative will be responsible for identifying, prospecting and building relationships with consumer and commercial customers in a personable manner. Promote Jamestown Distributors enthusiastically within their territory and provide superior customer service for all accounts through consistent contact and follow-up skills. Use knowledge of JD systems and materials to drive sales, research information and provide problem-solving support within a timely manner, to maintain customer satisfaction, and account expansion.
Primary Responsibilities:
Generate sales leads through cold calls, prospecting and marketing
Promote, market and sell Jamestown Distributors products via phone and email
Establish and develop relationships with potential new customers, maintain and expand relationships with existing customers
Develop a strong understanding of customers? needs and the solutions Jamestown Distributors offers
Support outside wholesaler through regular phone and email communication
Proactively problem solve and provide timely follow up with customers
Represent Jamestown Distributors in the community, attending boat shows and various public events
Contribute to the efficiency of the Sales department and Jamestown Distributors by performing other related duties, as assigned
Desired Qualifications:
High School diploma or G.E.D
Excellent listening, written and oral communication skills
Strong work ethic, drive and enthusiasm Computer literacy required? Able to learn ERP system, MS Excel, MS Word, including typing skills of 30 WPM
Minimum of three years of Sales related experience. Must be able to demonstrate experience in relationship management and follow through skills. Marine industry experience, marine retail experience, and equivalent knowledge a plus.
