Quality Director - Hospital Job Opening in Lake Charles, Louisiana - POSITION SUMMARY:
The Quality Director , develops, implements and manages comprehensive and effective systems to monitor and evaluate the quality and appropriateness of patient services and programs, the efficient utilization of facility resources, the effectiveness of risk management and infection control programs and actions in support of the organizational mission and goals and assures compliance with Federal and State laws and regulations regarding acceptable health practices.
Provides direction, supervision, monitoring, and disciplinary action for performance improvement department employees. Under the supervision of the Administrator, functions as a support person in the coordination and organization of administrative processes in a high quality efficient and cost-effective manner. Demonstrates age specific and cultural sensitivity towards internal and external customers. All duties to be done in accordance with Joint Commission, Federal and State regulations, Oceans' Mission, policies and procedures and PI Standards
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
:
A minimum of 2 years experience working with a health care related organization to assess the quality of care and performance of staff preferred and/or 2 years clinical experience 2 years clinical experience as an RN or LVN. Associates Degree with emphasis on healthcare, or Bachelor's degree in social services field preferred. Additional experience in quality management activities may be substituted for clinical experience and/or educational requirements.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
Technical writing, creating thinker and planner with operational skills in problem resolution. Computer literacy and TIDE certification, strong verbal and written skills. Must be well organized, flexible and responsible. Must be able to communicate knowledge in an educational arena. Must possess excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Must be able to type at least 50 correct words per minute. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word. Heavy, high paced work load requires high energy and excellent organization, time management, and analytical skills. Must be able to work tactfully and cooperatively with a variety of internal and external customers. Ability to work with minimal supervision, think globally, and simultaneously manage multiple details.
CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES:
Must have a valid Driver's License. CPI certified.
