Accounting Professional Job Opening in Yorktown, Virginia - We are seeking an accounting professional with 2-4 years public accounting experience to join our growing Yorktown location.
Our firm services businesses, individuals, non-profit organizations and various entities throughout the Southside, Peninsula, Richmond and other parts of the East Coast. We are looking for a highly motivated career focused individual with great communication skills.
Responsibilities:
Our ideal candidate will possess 2+ current years of accounting experience with a focus on small businesses, non profit organizations, review, audited and compiled financial statements, including related tax returns.
Serve the needs of the Firm by preparing and completing all types of tax returns, including assistance with notices, IRS audits and client questions
Preparing workpapers in accordance with professional and firm standards
Develops practice referral sources and participates in practice development events
Maintains a professional appearance and demeanor, reflective of the Firm, at all times
Be a team player, work independently and assist the firm during deadlines and as client needs arise
 Requirements:
2 to 4 years experience in public accounting
Bachelors Degree in Accounting
CPA Candidate
A wide range of experience preparing business and individual tax returns.
General accounting knowledge and experience in reviews, audits and preparing financial statements
Experience with MS Office and Quickbooks
Experience with Drake Software is a plus
Must be able to work under pressure to meet deadlines
