Route Sales Representative / Order Writer Job Opening in Oil City, Pennsylvania - 3 Rivers Express is a fast growing Ice Cream and Frozen food distributor that services various c-store and other small format customers in the Tri-state area. We are currently looking for a Responsible account manager to service and write orders for stores in PA. Our main office is located out of Washington PA, however we are looking for employees in the Grove City, Butler, New Castle, Clarion or neighboring area to service customers within that region.
Responsibilities
Services existing accounts, obtains orders, and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales outlets and other trade factors.
Focuses sales efforts by studying existing and potential volume of customers.
Submits orders by referring to price lists and product literature.
Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses.
Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.
Recommends changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.
Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports; making recommendations to management.
Provides historical records by maintaining records on area and customer sales.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
Responsibilities
~Follow route and time schedule, while being able to make needed adjustments to meet client needs
~Ask for feedback on provided services and resolve clients' complaints
~Collect Customer payments
~Inform on new products and services
~Complete logs and reports
Requirements
~Minimum 2 years Proven working experience as sales rep or similar job in sales
~Clean driving record
~Valid driver's licence
~Ability to pass drug test upon hiring
~Competency in using mobile handheld equipment to complete customer orders.
Preferred Experience In the Following
~ Experience is DSD (Direct Store Delivery)
~ Experience in Merchandising
~ Proficiency with Ipad/Iphone IOS Software
~ Proficiency in Microsoft office
Compensation will include a Base Rate + Commission. If hired employee will also be supplied with either a car allowance or company vehicle. Specific details will be discussed upon interview.
