Description of Work:
Design, develop, and debug software applications according to design specifications.
Review, analyze, and translate customer engineering requirements into initial design of an engineering software product or enhancements to existing products.
Test the software product throughout product implementation and installation on a variety of different computer systems such as Windows and Solaris platforms to ensure it satisfies the requirements. Provide technical assistance to ISS Customer Support Representatives.
Required Education and Experience:
BS or MS in software related field and/or relevant experience.
Proficiency in C/C++/C# and/or java programming.
Experience developing applications for MS Windows platforms.
Advanced problem solving abilities.
Cooperative attitude.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
Ability to handle multiple projects effectively.
Preferred Experience:
Working with relational databases, preferably Oracle.
Database design and/or data modeling.
Developing applications utilizing
Utilizing open source projects.
Developing web services.
Working with data driven applications.
Working with Solaris and/or Linux.
Developing test plans and/or end user documentation.
Developing Unix Shell scripts.
Programming with scripting languages (Perl/PowerShell).
Software configuration management, principally complex make files and CVS.
Using threat and vulnerability analysis tools (HP Fortify, Veracode, etc.)
