Software Engineer Job Opening in Charleston, South carolina - Job Descriptions:
The Software Engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining designated proprietary software applications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for adhering to defined specifications and meeting project timelines.
Accountability in the management of multi-issue workloads, and apprising supervisor on software development progress.
Expected to handle assignments with increased complexity and scope.
Expected to demonstrate a high level of code quality, programming aptitude and application knowledge.
Involvement in the creation of application development plans, defining of functional specifications and project timelines.
Provide day-to-day business support for operations staff.
Required Experience:
The successful candidate will be a highly motivated, self-starting.
The successful candidate must be comfortable working in a fast paced and rapidly changing environment.
Experience working in a Healthcare company is desirable.
Education and/or Experience:
Information Technology professional with a minimum BS/BA degree in Information Systems (or equivalent) with 1- 2 + years of relevant experience.
Computer Skills:
Experience with and knowledge of Visual Studio, C#, , and Transact SQL.
Familiarity with web services, SQL Server, and other Microsoft technologies a plus.
Experience with , REST services, JSON, XML, and HL7 is a plus.

Physical Demands:
May sit, stand, stoop, bend and walk intermittently during the day. May sit seven (7) to ten (10) hours per day. May be necessary to work extended hours as needed. Finger dexterity to operate office equipment required. May need to lift up to twenty-five (25) pounds on occasion. Visual acuity to see and read fine prints. Specific vision abilities required by this role include close vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to hear normal voice sounds.
