Local Roots is seeking a motivated Bookkeeper that can oversee the Company's general accounting, financial reporting functions, and all other financial areas including Payroll, A/R and A/P. Ideal applicants are exceptionally organized, outgoing, detail-oriented, and possess superior oral and written communication skills with a passion for sustainable agriculture, healthy lifestyles, and technology.
Manages the accuracy and productivity of day-to-day activities of Accounts Payable, reimbursements, customer collections, and payroll,
Process vendor invoices, and collect W-9 on all new vendors
Reconciliation of the all cash accounts to facilitate the month-end close
Prepare information for external accountant
Maintain records of all invoices, reimbursements, credit card transactions, check vouchers, and deposits
Create and mail Aging A/R statements to customers as need it
Process the company's bi-monthly payroll from
Manage inter-company accounts for multiple entities
Preparation of financial statements for monthly Board and Committee meetings
Maintain a high level of confidentiality regarding the Company's finances and the employee records
Position Requirements: * Deep knowledge of QuickBooks Enterprise
Stellar basic math skills * Extremely detailed orientated and accurate * Ability to meet all deadlines * Proficient in Microsoft Office * Strong verbal and written communication skills. * Independent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Ability to work independently and in a team
