Payroll Tax Accountant Job Opening in Columbus, Ohio - PSI is searching for an entry level to experienced Payroll Tax Accountant for a contract opportunity! Qualified candidates will be local to Columbus, Ohio and have 1-3 years experience in Payroll Tax and Accounting.
Summary:
The Payroll Tax Accountant will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable Federal, Provincial, State and Local tax requirements for the US, Canada and International Expats.
RESPONSIBILITIES * Responsible for timely and accurate payroll tax reporting. * Manage timely and accurate completion of monthly blackbook account reconciliations for all business entities * Own payroll tax reconciliation, payroll tax journal entry preparation, and quarterly and annual tax reconciliation. Partner with payroll operations group to make necessary adjustments prior to finalizing file * Manage analysis of all tax inquiries and notices in a timely manner, including: Multi ? State jurisdictions, federal government, and local taxing authorities and Canadian provinces * Participate in departmental testing of PeopleSoft upgrades or tax updates * Fund account requests * Conduct tax audits to ensure compliance with standards of operation * Manage weekly associate tax changes through PAR and e-forms

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION * Minimum of 1 - 3 years? experience in Payroll Tax and Accounting * Bachelor?s degree in Accounting or Finance is required * Experience with PeopleSoft Payroll, Master Tax and SAP Financials is preferred * Advanced PC skills including Excel, Access and PowerPoint
