Staff Accountant Job Opening in Chicago, Illinois - Methodist Hospital of Chicago?located in Andersonville on the north side of Chicago?is a nonprofit, non-sectarian hospital hosting a full complement of highly qualified physicians and other healthcare professionals. The Hospital offers a very distinctive caring approach to healthcare for today's senior population, as well as others.
We are currently seeking qualified applicants for a Staff Accountant position. As a Staff Accountant you will perform general accounting functions including but not limited to:
Completing monthly journal entries and bank reconciliations
Completing monthly expense reports
Completing federal tax returns ? Form 990, Form 941 & Form 720
Assist with month end and year end close
Preparing financial reports
Assist in accounts payable function
Handling special projects as needed
Requirements:
Minimum of Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance
1+ years accounting experience, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting
Proficiency in MS Excel
Meditech experience a plus
