Medical Assistant, Telephonic Job Opening in Franklin, Tennessee - Are you looking to make a difference with your career in a new and innovative way? Our Medical Assistants support our pediatric patients' health by answering in-coming phone calls, assessing the patient's symptoms or health concerns and offer advice. You'll also schedule appointments and other administrative duties as needed. This is a telephonic position based in our Cool Springs corporate office with an opportunity to occasionally provide direct care in our clinics in the Nashville area alongside of our providers.
We're a small organization helping physician's increase the quality of healthcare by providing superior customer service in each interaction with patients.
If you are enthusiastic, a quick learner and a hard worker this position may be for you. You'll need to effectively multitask, be detail oriented and great customer service skills. You'll be working with patients over the phone and a professional and friendly demeanor is required at all times.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and typing 40 words per minute is required.
Experience using electronic medical records (programs such as: ClinicalWorks (ECW) Software preferred.
Keep your clinical skills sharp with a about one day a month spent with patients in the clinic.
Fluent Spanish speaking preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required; Associates degree in business or related field preferred.
Current MA Certification required.
Current BLS certification required.
Minimum of 1 year of directly related work experience highly preferred.
No evening or weekend work.
Choose to work four days per week, 7:00am to 5:30pm OR
Monday through Friday with shifts starting between 7:00am and 9:00am and ending between 3:30pm and 5:30pm.
