About SWBNO:
The SWBNO (1500 Employee Public Utility) is responsible for the treatment and distribution of safe drinking water and water for fire protection throughout the city of New Orleans; for the collection and treatment of all wastewater for safe return to the environment; and drainage for the totality of the City of New Orleans. Job Summary:
The Requisition and Invoice Team Lead will be responsible for supervising and coordinating a wide range of financial disbursement activities including the invoicing and payment for all capital program vendors.
Job duties may include:
Supervise, lead, and coach assigned staff
Ensure that requisitions are processed properly, efficiently, and in accordance with policy
Establish and maintain internal controls and procedures to protect assets and determine new controls or procedures that maintain proper internal control, accuracy and reliability of information and compliance with laws and regulations
Provide ongoing staff training in the areas of invoice processing and funding of requisitions
Provide guidance on future cash flows and any funding issues
Prepare and present financial disbursement and related reports
Perform other related duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor?s Degree from an accredited college/university in accounting, finance, management, or related degree
Five (5) or more years of experience in analyzing, designing, and developing financial or analytical procedures that support sound business practices
Demonstrated supervisory experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office and database applications
Preferred:
Experience in generating budgetary reports including cash flow and projections preferred
Advance Degree Preferred
Working knowledge of government operations preferred
Working knowledge of Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) programs, processes, and systems preferred
Entrance Salary:
$45,169-$65,569
