Software Engineer Job Opening in Atlanta, Georgia - SUMMARY
We are seeking to fill Software Engineering positions with strong experience in large scale, full stack , development and deployment of cloud based shared services and related technologies. These roles will be responsible for supporting the development and execution of a shared services data could platform , roadmap, and strategy. Responsibilities will include:
Recommend new and emerging techniques, tools, and best practices to support implementation and adoption of shared services.
Participate in the development of shared services transition and operational processes.
Provide guidance and technical support within the creation of design and development artifacts.
Assist in the delivery of efficient and extensible shared services.
Actively support new customer onboarding activities.
Support the delivery of service level agreements (SLA), service performance measures, risk mitigation, and issues resolution.
Create technical documentation and engineering specifications.
Overall responsibilities breakout approximately:
35% architect, research, and strategy.
25% customer onboarding and migration support.
15% documentation development and stakeholder presentations.
15% technical analysis and support.
10% configuration management and development.
REQUIRED SKILLS
Must have direct experience with large scale, full stack, development and deployment of cloud based shared services and related technologies, environments, and architecture components such as:
Amazon Web Services ( AWS ) cloud environment.
Red Hat Enterprise Linux ( RHEL ) operating system.
OpenShift cloud development Platform as a Service ( PaaS ).
Docker container container-based virtualization technologies.
Kubernetes container orchestration and scheduling deployments, scaling, and management of containerized shared service applications.
Must have experience with object oriented architecture, design patterns, and multi-threaded application development.
Must have full stack Java development abilities in Java , PL/SQL, XML/XSLT, HTML, API, REST ful web services, or similar technologies. Experience with AngularJS, API Management, and Databases.
Knowledge of cloud infrastructure as a service ( IaaS ) / platform as a service ( PaaS ), microservices, Red Hat Linux, Docker containers, Kubernetes , GIT, Jenkins a plus
Must have experience creating and evaluating enterprise data and services architectures that cross multiple organizational units.
Experience working in DevOps
Must be comfortable working in a team-oriented and collaborative environment.
Must have strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
Must possess the ability to present data, ideas, solutions, and reports in non-technical business friendly language.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 8 years of similar software engineering experience.
Minimum 3 year high-load environment with highly distributed code
Minimum Bachelor degree required, Master?s degree preferred, in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or other related discipline.
Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments and customer service.
