Position Overview:
Reporting to the Sr. Global Facilities Manager, the Nevada Facilities Manager is responsible for the overall planning, organizing, and execution of all Facilities functions for the location. This role ensures the security of the general facility and personnel as well as coordinating all maintenance and upkeep of the facility.
Specific Responsibilities May Include:
Support the department?s operational and strategic planning, including fostering innovation, planning projects and the allocation of resources
Manage Facilities? Capital and Operational Expenditures to assure forecast and budget are met
Maintain on going CapEx Budget
Manage preventive maintenance contracts and contractors for the facility equipment, including HVAC, office equipment, UPS, fire systems, etc.
Ensure the continued integrity of the facility?s physical security and the secure work areas
Conduct regular site / equipment inspections and checks if all facilities / equipment are at optimum level. Identifies potential and / or existing problem areas and coordinates for the prompt servicing / repair of equipment
Coordinate with all internal departments on repair and maintenance work to be completed. Effectively communicate scope of work and timing as well as potential risk to operations or personnel.
Coordinate the printing of company identification cards (IDs) and the accompanying proximity cards for new hires, anticipating capacity and load from Recruitment and Workforce. Ensure accurate employee / new hire data is entered into the appropriate databases. Control and monitor the release of company IDs to respective employees.
Act as the point-person for Facilities during off-shift hours. Ensures that the needs of internal customers are addressed and rectified at all hours of operation.
Oversee the day-to- day activities and manage the performance of Facilities team members. Conduct timely performance appraisals in accordance with the focal review schedules of the company.
Gather information on quotations and canvassing of vendor prices. Make the final recommendation for products and services to be acquired to the Sr. Global Facilities Manager
Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned
Required Experience, Skills & Competencies:
Building/facilities administration and maintenance experience in a supervisory capacity
Experience in occupational Safety and Health Association guidelines and practices and business/building codes
Proficiency with MS Office applications (i.e. MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Familiar with maintenance trades and customary practices
Strong financial acumen
Ability to handle multiple tasks
Focus on delivering expected results in a timely manner with emphasis on quality, completeness and accuracy
Convey thoughts in a clear, organized and concise manner, in verbal and/or written form. Exhibits tact, diplomacy and professionalism in dealing with all individuals
Proven vendor management skills
Consider pros and cons of various alternatives and anticipate effects of decisions made
Foresee circumstances and appropriately respond before conditions require action
Provide guidance and direction to members of the team
Ensure effective and efficient working relationships between team members, end users, and management
Exhibit flexibility and openness to changes in work activities, responsibilities, work schedules/hours
Bachelor?s Degree or Technical/Trade School diploma from a recognized educational institution
Preferred Experience, Skills & Competencies:
Building/facilities administration and maintenance experience in a supervisory capacity within a call center, customer service, or any labor-intensive industry (i.e. manufacturing) environment
Project Management Certification (PMI or equivalent)
