Wholesale Sales Representative (B2B) Job Opening in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania - (Note: This role isn't in-store "sales", but selling roasted coffee to other coffee shops, cafes, restaurants, etc., in a (B2B) capacity.)
Square One Coffee is an award winning, family owned specialty coffee roaster based in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. We've been serving wholesale customers in the Central PA area for the past 10 years. We now have 2 retail locations in Philadelphia and are seeking wholesale sales support in that region.
The role of Sales/Customer Representative exists to provide our existing wholesale customers and prospective wholesale customers with a friendly, helpful, reliable representation of our company. The ideal candidates for this role are excellent communicators, passionate, organized, naturally good with people, good listeners, problem solvers, and are attentive and responsive to customers? needs. This role also involves identifying and qualifying prospective wholesale partners across a variety of channels, and adding new, appropriate business to our growing network.
Skills Needed:
B2B Sales experience (note: not in-store sales)
Professional demeanor, selling style, and appearance
Excellent verbal, presentation, and listening skills
Self-motivated with high energy and enthusiasm towards the role and the industry
Strong mediation skills with the ability to manage others
High level of integrity, work ethic, and ability to work independently
Must possess a valid driver?s license
Have reliable transportation to travel between accounts in and around the coverage area (Lancaster, Philadelphia, and surrounding areas)
Mathematically proficient
Proficient computer skills
This person must also:
love people and coffee (must be a coffee drinker)
know and act within SQ1?s core values of humility, hospitality, and hard work
work to best understand and service customer?s needs
consistently reach sales targets to increase total sales (new and existing accounts)
have a willingness to learn about the equipment and processes required to produce the highest quality coffee
build strong training and support relationships with our new and current partners
select appropriate prospective wholesale customers whose brands are cohesive with SQ1 through examining their alignment with our vision, and mutual respect for our brand?s quality standard guidelines
be available on some evenings and weekends if needed. The right person must understand that sometimes in order to best serve our customers, we need to be available for support when they need it most.
Note: Coffee knowledge is not required. The right candidate will be trained using Square One's coffee training program. However, candidates should enjoy tasting coffee regularly since this is an important part of this role.
