Position/ Title: HVAC Service Technicians / Installers (NATE Certification Preferred) Job Open Date: 05/20/2011 Position Status: Full-Time Pay Range: Based on Experience -- Please submit desired pay with resume Business Hours: Monday through Friday (8:00 -- 5:00), Saturday 8:00--3:30 (rotating on-call week-ends & some overtime is required Primary Job Function: Operating under the supervision of the Service Manager, the position maintains responsibility for coordinating and performing a wide variety of technician duties as follows: Daily Duties: � Under normal circumstances reports directly to first call of the day. � Properly diagnosis and repair HVAC equipment. � Explains services, policies and fees prior to diagnostic and repair. � Charge and collect for all work performed, per company policy and procedures. � Complete paper work daily, recording all hours and materials used on each job before leaving that site. Turns in all completed paperwork and related forms with revenue to Service Manager or Service Dispatcher daily or as directed. � Complete quality work on or below budgeted labor hours, per flat rate not pay for mistakes or misused time. � Make sure that customers are satisfied with services rendered before leaving site. � Assist installation or fabrication department, with installs or fabrication as directed by the Service Manager or Service Dispatcher. � Keep entire work area neat and organized and free of scrap and debris, foot or fingerprints. � Contact the office after each service call to be dispatched to the next call. � Provide customers with information on company's maintenance contracts. � Recommend new equipment as a viable option to expensive repairs. Forward information to Service Manager for communication to sales. � Other duties as assigned. Performance Indicators: Certain key business indicators that will measure the effectiveness of the Journeyman Service? Installer Technician. These include the following: � Number of calls per day. (Average 4 to 6) � Number of calls not complete in a timely manner. � Accuracy of paper work, labor hours & materials charged to clients and turned in timely, with revenue attached. � Number of times Service Manager or Service Dispatcher was not advised that the call was behind schedule. � Number of warranty callbacks on workmanship or incorrect diagnosis that are processed for the tech each month. � Number of times parts are returned, or installed incorrectly. � Cleanliness and organization in the customers' home or in the company van. � Equipment, tool, or vehicle breaks due to lack of proper maintenance or neglect � Number of times that truck stock parts are not on the truck. � Number of sales lead referrals or spiffs on product sold. � Number of prepaid Maintenance Contracts sold.
