Quality Assurance Analyst Job Opening in Mount Pleasant, South carolina - Position Summary: Hands-on company wide, operations-oriented position that has a vital role in providing Quality Assurance oversight and direction to management as well as providing training to MTAG employees for continuous improvement. Provides quality control measures, identifies errors or opportunity for efficiency and effectiveness in processes. Develops and utilizes procedures to ensure adherence to defined criteria across several functions ? asset management, payment posting, call center services and custodial services ? ensuring seamless customer service impact. Tracks exceptions, and discrepancies, provides reconciliations, as well as collecting, processing and maintaining data for metrics. Requires strong financial acumen and analytics. Utilizes compliance documents in reporting transactions and data variances. Adds value to MTAG Servicing s to ensure the highest possible levels of data quality, timeliness and completeness. This position will be exposed to a very demanding, market-driven workflow in the five functions and work with time sensitive data processing and operations management that helps to support the functions. This position requires deep insight into the tax lien issuance process and how compliance requirements work together with issuance to enhance operational efficiency.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Provides quality control by developing and documenting and utilizing procedures to ensure adherence to defined criteria. The results of this important work are provided to internal partners and external agencies. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Systematically identify pending work in critical functional process areas. Augment current staff to complete pent up work/transactions using currently documented process. Report on the magnitude of backlog versus universe of like transactions, at time to resolve. Analyze existing process and recommend enhancements (for example: process efficiency improvement, enhanced reporting tools, staffing amount or quality, etc.).
Systematically identify sub-quality product in critical functional process areas. Augment current staff to remediate sub-quality Report on magnitude of sub-quality transactions versus universe of like transactions. Analyze existing process and recommend enhancements (for example: process efficiency improvement, enhanced reporting tools, staffing amount or quality, etc.).
Goals ? Improve process, reporting and staff quality and levels to create the best niche asset servicing process/platform in the world.

Establish framework for Quality Assurance accountabilities in each function
Document process flow and insert accountabilities for quality assurance
Determine the root cause of our customer?s escalations and insert accountabilities for quality assurance
Identify error or opportunity for our business functions and insert accountabilities for quality assurance
Capture any indicators needed for reporting and work to resolve
Identify team member coaching opportunities and process improvement opportunities and provide training materials and support as required
Identify customer-asserted errors and insert accountabilities for quality assuranc * Support the documentation and process development initiatives of the organization.
Support the development of metrics for monthly senior management reporting.
Perform quality assurance research on all unique transaction processing throughout the lifecycle of tax lien accounting.
Work directly with other Servicing units, including Asset Management, to ensure activity is presented as expected for client reporting and in compliance with company policy.
Support all firm-wide initiatives to increase operational efficiency through process improvement projects.

Required Education, Knowledge and Skills:
BS/BA degree in accounting, finance, or business administration. Strong financial acumen required.
2+ verifiable analyst or financial reporting experience - Prior work experience, including internships or temporary positions within an operations or financial company environment is preferred
An ability to work well independently and within a dynamic team
Superior analytical reasoning, oral communication and phone skills
Detail-oriented, able to multi-task, and strong organizational skills
An ability to absorb large amounts of information in a high energy, fast-paced environment and work well under pressure
Resourceful and not afraid to ask questions
Ability to see the big picture from individual data pieces
Experience with Internet and database research
Comfortable with telephone interaction with external sources
Ability to work on daily shifts that may begin or end at off-peak hours
Basic project management knowledge or skills highly preferred
Proactive thinking with detail-oriented and creative problem solving approach
