Medical Assistant or LPN Job Opening in Parkersburg, West virginia - PARS Neurosurgical Associates is seeking a full time Medical Assistant or LPN for our Surgical Clinic. This role will be responsible for assisting clinical staff with patient intake as well as clerical duties as needed.
Job Requirement:
High School Degree or GED required
Completion of an accredited medical assistant program with an AAMA or NHA certification or current WV and OH LPN License
Previous healthcare experience preferred
Previous electronic medical record experience preferred
Demonstrated proficiency in computer skills in Microsoft Office application
Job Functions:
Documents patient intake including vitals, past history, medication list and review of systems.
Maintains the accurate documentation of care provided to patients by authenticating order entries in the medical record and office logs as directed by the site manager.
Demonstrate ability to provide assistance during nerve conduction studies.
Performs front office duties as needed, such as receiving and directing phone calls, patient reminders, scheduling activities, handling payments, authorizations and co-pays.
Ensures correct electronic medical record documentation of all prescriptions that are called, written or sent electronically to the pharmacy.
