LPN Compliance Assistant Job Opening in Stratford, Connecticut - LPN Compliance Assistant Duties:
Assist in the development and implementation of compliance and risk management programs for the organization.
Assist with the development and implementation of the annual compliance and risk management work plans.
Under the direction of supervisor, conduct periodic internal reviews or monitoring to ensure that policies, procedures, and workflows are followed.
Assist to ensure that corrective action taken is taken to prevent future occurrences.
Recommend any monitoring or auditing that may be necessary to ensure compliance or reduce risk.
Assist in the monitoring of business activities for compliance with applicable rules and regulations.
Complete required compliance and risk management documentation.
Collect information related to risk management incidents, claims, and lawsuits made against FCVN. Escalate appropriate matters to the attention of the Compliance officer .
Develop and conduct compliance education under the direction of the Compliance officer .
Interpret policies and procedures for staff. Assist with policy creation and adaptation as needed.
Assist with the monitoring and coordination of compliance activities of other departments to remain abreast of the status of all compliance activities and to identify trends
Assist in investigation and follow-up of reported incidents.
Prepare reports from the EMR and as directed or requested, assist with reporting on the progress of compliance efforts and implementation to keep the Compliance Committee and Senior Management informed, and assist in establishing methods to improve efficiency and quality of services, and to reduce errors.
Assist with independent reviews of clinical documentation to ensure that compliance issues and concerns within the organization are being appropriately evaluated, investigated and resolved
Collaborates with other departments (for example, Human Resources and Operations) regarding compliance issues to appropriate existing channels for investigation and resolution
Assists with Infection Control Committee and Safety committee initiatives.
Performs other duties as assigned
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma required
Certificate from a secretarial school or Associate /Bachelor degree preferred
Computer skills and word processing ability required
Demonstrated ability to assist leadership personnel
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Health care background with administrative assistant experience preferred.
