Pharmacy Technician Job Opening in Metairie, Louisiana - Job Purpose: To work as part of Factor One Source FAST Pharmacy's multi-disciplinary team and contribute to the delivery of high standards of practice in all aspects of the service.
Job Duties:
Required to work within the guidelines of Factor One Source FAST Pharmacy, but will additionally work within the chronic or acute community and home setting as the service requires
Performs a variety of duties and technical tasks structured to assist the pharmacist, patients and other healthcare providers. These task are all designed to support the medication distribution system for Factor One Source FAST Pharmacy patients. .
Serves and protects the Pharmacy by adhering to professional standards, company policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements, and URAC/TJC/ACHC standard of care
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications and maintaining personal networks.
Have the ability to organize and prioritize
Maintain good public relations with chronic/acute disorder chapters or organizations.
Advocates for the special needs of patients
Attends local, community and national events as needed by Company.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
Required education, training and/or professional experience: Pharmacy Tech Licensure is required. Previous experience in Specialty Pharmacy is preferred but not required. Previous experience working in a pharmacy is required as well as strong leadership skills.
