Branch Manager Job Opening in Shreveport, Louisiana - RN BRANCH MANAGER position available. NATIONAL HOMECARE SERVICES is searching for a self motivated, dedicated, dynamic leader to fill the newly vacated Branch Manager position for our Shreveport Office . The registered nurse in this position will be working within a strong team environment and must have a commitment to integrated interdisciplinary team management on both the clinical and administrative levels. This individual will be able to use his/her supervisory and management skills in the provision and coordination of patient care from admission to discharge, as well as providing leadership to our multidisciplinary health care team. EDUCATION & LICENSURE: Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing and currently licensed to practice professional nursing in the state of Louisiana.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of one year experience as a Registered Nurse; home health experience and supervisory experience preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS: * Strong leadership and management skills * Knowledgeable of nursing assessment skills * Competent in the provision of nursing care * Excellent observation and assessment skills and good nursing judgment * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Current CPR Certification
RESPONSIBILITIES: * Assists in the implementation of approved policies, procedures, and protocols that reflect elements essential to rendering high quality care. * Focuses activities of the health care team(s) on the achievement of optimal patient outcomes and appropriate utilization of resources. * Selects and maintains qualified staff and establishes staffing patterns that reflect the quality and quantity of personnel necessary to plan, provide, and supervise the care rendered to patients. * Serves as a resource and consultant to both clerical and clinical staff. * Facilitates effective communication with physicians, patients, families, referral sources, and healthcare staff, and responds promptly and appropriately to any concerns or new orders. * Manages individual patient's multi-disciplinary needs by assessing the appropriate progress toward patient care goals, supervising team members, and exercising effective coordination of care. * Assures that patient admissions and plans of care adhere to the Medicare criteria for provision of homecare services. * Using the nursing process of assessment, provides direct patient care and family education as needed to fulfill staffing needs. * Contributes to the provision of quality nursing care through excellence in customer service and performance improvement techniques that demonstrate positive outcomes in patient care.
