Billing Accountant Job Opening in Silver Spring, Maryland - Large international company is seeking to add a Billing Analyst/Accountant to their accounting team.
Position Title: Billing Accountant
Primary Function:
As an integral part of the Department, the individual is responsible for the timely and accurate processing of invoices for non-affiliate billing.
Responsibilities:
Ensure that all billing is completed within the set deadlines for the following areas:
o Ad Sales
o Education
o Corporate Billing
o Digital Billing
o Cross-Train with team for back-up purposes.
Make adjustments for invoice changes in a timely manner.
o Work closely with sales teams to ensure adjustments are made on a timely basis.
o Adhering to all SOX requirements.
o Identifying issues.
Demonstrate and maintain high standards of accountability to deliver superior quality and financial information on a timely basis.
Other duties as assigned.
o contract review
o Assist in training business partners on the use of the corporate billing database
o Act as the liaison between internal and external customers and credit collections.
o Work closely with Finance to resolve billing questions and concerns
o Process all adjustments related to Corporate Billing
Other duties as assigned.
Education: BS, BA or related years of experience.
Experience: Three + years of billing and accounting experience.
Skills:
o Applicant must be detail-oriented.
o Must be able to work under tight deadlines.
o Should be able to deal with difficult, sensitive and confidential issues.
o Candidate should have a working knowledge of billing and accounting.
o Good communication skills
o Proficient use of MS Excel. Particularly large spreadsheets along with a demonstrated working knowledge of: Pivot Tables, Formula creation, and VLook-Ups.
o Team player.
o Strong analytical skills.
o Ability to develop and foster professional relationships.
o Customer experience driven mindset.
