Software Development Engineer Job Opening in Ann Arbor, Michigan - Liberty Reach is seeking a Software Development Engineer based in our Ann Arbor office to support our suite of robotic guidance applications. The role is responsible for software maintenance, bug fixes and development of additional features.
We require a candidate with previous software development experience who enjoys working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. You must have strong communication skills suitable for work with a team as well as proven ability to work alone without guidance.
This position requires previous experience. This is not an entry level position
Responsibilities
Software development in C++ using the Qt5 framework
Maintain and bug-fix existing software.
Gather Software specifications for new features.
Development of new features in existing software.
Report to Director of Engineering
Participate in engineering meetings and software release meetings.
Travel up to 10% of the time (primarily southeast Michigan)
Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
3+ years of recent 'hands on' software development within a technical or software engineering environment.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Well organized, results driven and high initiative.
Makes decisions and escalates issues when needed.
A team player who can also work independently.
A strong candidate would also have experience in one or more of the following:
Strong linear algebra background.
Demonstrated experience with Qt and the Qt5 framework
