ADI is currently updating the ADvantage Framework with features to better meet the needs of additional markets, including the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT).
We have an immediate opening for an embedded software engineer to join our Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) Application Engineering Team. In this position, you will be working with a small group of talented software engineers to update and implement our C-code based real-time services software for a custom Linux distribution on a low-cost, ARM-based, open hardware platform. This work will include creating real-time application software for IIoT applications to both demonstrate platform capabilities and to meet customer project requirements. This position will also play a key role in establishing and maintaining a new Open Source software project to share and improve best-in-class real-time services software with industry leading companies and the open source community.
Required Experience / Skills:
Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
Competency with software development, preferably for embedded Linux or RTOS systems
Proficiency in one or more standard software language, including any of the following: C/C++, Python, C#, Java, Objective-C, Swift or Go
Ability to learn new concepts quickly
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Exceptional organizational, analytical, and time management skills
Strong team player able to work both independently and interactively in a small group setting
Desirable Experience / Skills:
Experience using or contributing to Open Source software projects a plus
Knowledge of real-time programming models, interfaces, platforms and concepts highly desirable
Familiarity with hardware diagnostic tools, including scopes, meters, etc
