Marketing Coordinator / Community Liaison Job Opening in Greenville, South carolina - Do you desire for your work to be meaningful? Upstate Home Care Solutions is looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivator to be our Sales & Marketing Coordinator / Community Liaison. We seek someone who loves to meet and engage in conversation with people and their families; appreciates the opportunity to face challenges; works well autonomously as well as with a team; is self-disciplined and driven; and would like to educate the community about the importance of non-medical home care for seniors and their families, children with special needs, and for veterans and their surviving spouses.
This individual will be responsible for positively impacting client sales and volume in the Upstate of South Carolina. This individual would market Upstate Home Care Solutions? services, to include our Veteran Advantage Program, and develop relationships with referral sources (e.g. senior social services professionals, case managers, nurse managers, etc.) in the Greater area. This position requires file analysis and follow-up contact with client(s) and family members, doctors, and referral sources to facilitate the start of care for new clients as well as fully develop VA claims for our Veteran Advantage Program participants.
Position Requirements will include:
Positively improve client sales and referral volume.
Professional, knowledgeable and enthusiastic communication and interaction with our clients, potential clients, agency and non-agency referral sources.
Knowledgeable of the expanding need for non-medical in-home care. Ability to learn quickly and on the fly, think creatively, and evolve with the industry.
Must genuinely love helping people.
Develop excellent working relationships with referral sources; confidently develop new referral sources.
Implement networking message and marketing plan.
Provide prospective clients and their family member(s) with information about the services Upstate Home Care Solutions provides.
Provide prospective clients and their family member(s) with information about the Veteran Advantage Program to include description, list of required documents and permission forms.
Review and analyze client documents; request military and medical forms; and follow-up with client, family member(s), doctor?s offices, etc. to compile any missing documentation and complete file to submission standard.
Analyze VA files to ensure accuracy and completion; determine and complete all steps necessary to complete a fully developed claim.
Maintain thorough files of client data (hard and soft).
Position will require local travel. Position will also require occasional overnight travel to trainings both in state and out of state.
Additional Skills:
Excellent communication skills (written, verbal) with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively both in-person and over the telephone

Excellent time management skills
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher
Incredibly patient with the ability to work effectively with the elderly; with their family members; or with upset, angry, frustrated, and/or sick clients who may be in crisis
Experience and Qualifications:
Bachelor?s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Social Work, or Human Services; or, Associates degree in Human Service field and a minimum of 2 years sales experience in information and referral services, case management, social services, or sales.
Willing to learn the senior care industry

Excellent networking ability
Preferred experience: Bachelor?s degree, prior experience working with the elderly; knowledgeable of local community resources.
Salary: $30,000 base plus commission.
