Business Operations Analyst I Job Opening in Cedar Falls, Iowa - The Operations Business Analyst I is responsible for structuring, managing and prioritizing a wide range of data management activities, tasks and priorities across all CBE business units. This position will take a strategic and service oriented approach to working with the management of each business unit to define, recommend and resource their specific data management needs and priorities. The Operations Business Analyst I will work closely with the DMS team and their assigned unit to deliver competitive and profitable outcomes. He/she provides analysis, definition and direction to their Vice Presidents and Unit/Department Managers. The analyst also ensures correct business functionality, requirements, client and industry standards are met, issues are identified, long-term solutions are found and solutions are implemented.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
BA/BS Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred.
One to three years of analysis (statistical, business, data, operational, or financial) experience
Knowledge in importing data for use in report software, spreadsheets, graphs, and flow charts.
Experience in Microsoft Products, such as Excel, Access and PowerPoint, required. Advanced experience preferred.
Knowledge and experience with report writing tools, particularly SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), preferred.
Knowledge and experience with statistical software, particularly SAS, preferred.
Ability to understand and interpret statistical and business modeling.
Proven written, oral and collaboration skills.
Experience in project management preferred.
Analytical, mathematical, and creative problem-solving skills required.
Basic understanding of the organization?s goals and objectives and this position?s role in accomplishing these goals and objectives.
Willing to work in cross-functional team environment.
Willing to work with customers and end-users, understand their business objectives, and effectively manage expectations.
Basic knowledge of software design concepts.
Understands basic concepts necessary to develop sound business case through cost and benefit analysis or applicable method.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists business units in developing tactical and strategic products, services and/or programs to support the business unit?s goals (financial, quality, production, customer service, operational efficiency, market share etc).
Collaborates with all CBE personnel and business partners to identify and maximize opportunities to use information and technology to improve product, service, and/or programs business processes.
Reviews, analyzes and helps to create detailed documentation of business systems and user needs including work flow, program functions and steps required to develop or modify strategies.
Assists and performs basic analyses of the business unit?s activities and trends and compares analyses against service standards and best practices. Presents findings and works with the business unit to identify and implement strategies that will reflect tactical and strategic goals.
Periodically re-evaluates the operational process and system resources to continually improve the efficiency of operation.
Examines and categorizes data from report software, spreadsheets, graphs, and flow charts.
Create basic segmentations based on given criteria and apply similar effective work strategies to these segments.
Assist with the development of analyses and strategies designed to utilize internal and external scoring models to enhance performance for Operational units.
Collaborates with the business unit to produce operational goals for competitive scorecards.
Adhere to processes that will effectively measure and provide 360 degree visibility regarding current state and historical trending for operational metrics.
Follow mathematically sound methods to provide solutions to complex business problems.
Creates information from data and making proactive recommendations to ensure business objectives are met.
Adhere to all company policies and Core Value expectations.
Analysis of staffing needs and based on inventory and Operational needs.
Maintain workflows for strategy by database and/or product lines assigned.
Background checks and drug testing required.
