Agriculture Mortgage Loan Closer Job Opening in West Des Moines, Iowa - General Purpose Of The Job
Manage the workflow and reporting needs of all agriculture loan applications, commitments and closings. Major responsibilities include oversight of all business issues, coordination with attorneys, in-house funding staff, mortgage bankers, borrowers and third party consultants.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Oversees the closing function on all full serviced loan portfolios. Coordinates all closing activities by working with underwriting staff, the borrower, field servicer, title insurance officer, surveyor, appraiser, legal counsel, insurance representative, and environmental engineers.
Orders and reviews all documents. Immediately notifies the underwriting staff and legal counsel of irregularities.
Develops, updates and maintains appropriate closing procedures and forms.
Competes on-boarding of new loans in the servicing software to ensure maximum utilization is achieved for billing and reporting.
Creates physical and electronic loan files along with scanned document in the servicing software. Sends original documents to custodian banks.
Creates and prepares reports for distribution to Senior Management, Investors and accounting staff.
Sends Welcome packets to seller banks and borrowers
Provides front line customer service to Farmer Mac, Investors, seller banks, field servicers, and borrowers.
Administrator for assigning borrowers and investors to on-line portals
Test new versions of servicing software
Assist with internal and external audits and reviews
Provide back-up to reviewing the loan boarding and recording of service actions for the Farmer Mac II/USDA portfolio
Assist with staff training
Other duties as assigned
Experience in customer service
Outstanding knowledge of MS Office
Working knowledge of office equipment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Organized with the ability to prioritize and multi-task
Reliable and professional
Education and/or Experience:
College degree plus 5 years commercial or agriculture mortgage closing experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
