Software Engineer Job Opening in New York, New york - Come join the award winning team at and help build innovative technology and solve complex technology problems. We're looking for someone with existing development experience and preferably experience at a SaaS, e-commerce, or payments company.
He/She should have experience in building and managing a product roadmap to grow our application to support the goal of making everything shoppable. This includes rich web applications and APIs to support client applications.
Candidate Qualifications:
-Experience in API development: NodeJs
-Experience in website development: Rails
-Experience in deploying production systems: pref Chef
-RDBMS Experience, pref MySQL
-Experience with Linux systems and bash scripting
-Good Communication skills, ability to talk to client technical teams.
-Strong knowledge of Restful APIs
-Strong knowledge of web application development
-Hands-on, expert level coding in web application frameworks
-Experience in e-commerce and payments
Nice to have
-Devops experience using chef or puppet.
-Familiar with PCI or similar standards
-Familiar with continuous development environment
-Familiar with hosting providers (AWS, Azure)
-Familiar with search related technologies (SOLR, ElasticSearch, or equivalent)
2-3 years full time experience with undergraduate Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Mathematics preferred.
***At least two years of real world, paid experience (beyond 'projects') is required for this position. Boot camp/Code Academy only will not count towards this requirement.
