Internal Audit Lead (VP level) Job Opening in Wilmington, Delaware - Our client is a leader in product innovation and emerging technologies within the global financial services industry. Consistently ranked "Top 5 for Customer Satisfaction" by JD Power and recently awarded the "Brand of the Year", our client is looking for a Internal Audit Lead to add to their team for a long-term project. This position is in their growing US business, in Wilmington, DE.
The Internal Audit team:
Provides independent, reliable, valued, insightful and timely assurance to executive management over the effectiveness of governance, risk management and control over current and evolving risks, in the context of the current and expected business environment.
The Day to Day:
Work collaboratively with others to deliver high quality assurance
Support / lead in scoping the audit where necessary
Identify, assess & document risks and controls
Complete testing
Evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of controls & document this understanding in the audit toolkit.
Provide suggestions to management for actions to address control issues identified.
Proactively take on additional tasks as requested by colleagues.
Build strong relationships and mutual trust with all internal colleagues and external stakeholders (Regulators).
Understand the needs of client/customer and make decisions using this knowledge.
Discuss and agree the factual accuracy of audit observations while owning your opinion and maintaining independence.
Qualifications:
Bachelor?s Degree
7+ years? experience in risk based auditing
5+ years of experience leading audit projects
5+ years? experience / specialist regulatory knowledge in one or more of: Basel, Dodd-Frank, CCAR, DFAST
3+ years of experience in consumer credit/credit card industry
