Data Management Specialist Job Opening in Columbus, Ohio - The Data Management Specialist is responsible for ensuring the data integrity of client related financial data. The position exports, imports, enters and reconciles data from various financial systems. The position is responsible for responding to data related questions and communicating data related matters on a timely basis.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Ensure the accurate, secure and timely entry of financial data into various systems and applications
Provide timely and courteous response and resolution to data queue and data questions
Provide reconciliation of client account statements
Prepare, update and maintain instructional procedures for download and reconciliation processes
Communicate internally any data related issues or concerns
Proactively work to find solutions to improve capacity for data operations, planning and investment teams
Assist and support the implementation of new data management and data mining systems and applications
Track and correct invalid log-ins
Download and enter monthly statements of held-away assets
Provide data mining and reporting
Export/import data as needed or required
Required Skills and Experience
Working experience with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook and Internet Explorer
Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
Commitment to accuracy and quality while meeting performance goals and deadlines
Team-oriented with the ability to work collaboratively to achieve team goals
Ability to solve problems independently after gathering information and evaluating options
Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
Ability to proactively seek solutions to challenges and offer suggestions

Preferred Skills
Experience with a document management system
Experience with a portfolio accounting system
Experience with portfolio rebalancing software
Experience using a full-scale CRM
Basic accounting knowledge for equity, mutual fund and other financial transactions

Experience in data entry and/or data verification
Bachelor?s degree with concentration in Business studies
