Finance and Accounting Manager Job Opening in Littleton, New hampshire - Position Overview
Our client, has an immediate opening for a Full-time Finance and Accounting Finance and Accounting Manager is responsible for managing the accounting department. This role also serves as a consultant for managers, planners and the board of directors for the organization, advising them of current budgetary information and working with Executive Director to create a fiscal strategy that aligns with the goals of the organization.
Essential Job Functions
Responsible for the development of policies, systems, special financial studies, etc. of major importance.
Advise management on matters of fiscal procedure and importance for the organization.
Workload preparation in concert with planning and administration team
Ensure compliance with the financial procedures of the organization
Record, balance and deposit purchases or fees, donations and employee reimbursements, including maintaining spreadsheets for such billings. Generates labor cost and shipments reports for management review.
Match accounts payable invoices to purchase orders and receivers and voucher invoices for the facility.
Monitor past due statements/invoices from vendors.
Reconcile various balance sheet accounts relative to payable and maintain standard cost supplemental schedules, manages standard cost system.
Process accounts payable, including tracking expenditures for budgets.
Process company payroll, including entering data for workers? compensation, reimbursements and payroll adjustments.
Compute timecards and enter data for fees, including investigation of payments.
Invoice other for fees.
Reconcile bank accounts.
Applies customer payments.
Researches and solves payment discrepancies.
Processes credit card payments and credits.
Make adjustments to accounts as needed.
Prepares weekly manual deposits.
Requirements
Bachelor?s degree in accounting or equivalent number of years of experience, plus seven years of accounting experience.
Experience working with and under Government and Non-Profit
Experience working with DOT, EDA and revolving loan funds.
