Core Functions:
Responsible for overseeing all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, Payroll, and GL
Ensure that periodic bank reconciliations are completed
Ensure that required debt payments are made on a timely basis
Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts
Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements
Support month-end and year-end close process
Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
Manage and comply with state government reporting requirements and tax filings
Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
Maintain the chart of accounts
Provide financial analysis as needed
Maintain client sub ledger for parent funding
Control revenue sources and expenditures to provide optimal cash flow for the organization
Liaison with systems vendors (i.e., telephone, credit card merchant, , and IT), negotiate annual contracts and plan for organizational needs
Oversee and conduct purchasing of office supplies and managing operational leases
Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
At least 3 years of financial management experience
Advanced knowledge of Excel, proficiency with basic office software and QuickBooks Software
AWB is an E.O.E.
