Bookkeeper/Office Administrator Job Opening in Wolcott, Connecticut - Sequel Medical Design, a Contract Design and Manufacturing service partner for the medical device industry is looking for a Part-Time Bookkeeper/Office Administrator. This position is responsible for creating, computing, classifying and recording all financial records by accurately recording day to day financial transactions of the company. This position also performs payroll and other accounting functions such as accounts payable and accounts receivable. Other duties include, but are not limited to, maintaining office supplies, scheduling appointments, and purchasing.
Essential Functions

Check and verify documents such as invoices, receipts, computer printouts
Allocate and post financial transaction details
Transfer data to general ledger
Reconcile and balance all accounts which includes month end closing
Create financial statements (trial balance, income statement, balance sheet)
Create and analyze account data and generate financial reports
Prepare and process payroll
Create and prepare timekeeping reports for billing
Create and update records with personnel, financial and other data
Manage and maintain all related accounts payable and accounts receivable activities
Prepare checks, payments and bank deposits
Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements
Calculate and prepare any and all tax payments
Assist with budget preparation and/or audits
Maintain complete filing system to support financial records
Maintain office supplies and order when necessary
Manage phone calls and correspondence (e-mail, letters, packages, etc.)
Manage incoming and outbound shipments using FedEx
Provide clerical and administrative support to management and other team members as requested
Complete special projects as assigned.

This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

While this job is primarily a sedentary role, some filing and occasional lifting of office products and supplies up to 20 pounds may be required. The employee is also regularly required to talk or hear; stand; walk; use hands and fingers; and reach with hands and arms.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a part-time position working an average of twenty (20) hours per week. Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the ?core? work hours which is 10:00 a.m. ? 3:00 p.m. More hours may be necessary to facilitate month end closings.
Required Education and Experience
Associates Degree in Accounting or Business Management
Previous experience with Harvest & Peach Tree Software(s)
Microsoft Office with an advanced skill in Microsoft Excel
