W2 only - no visa holders or candidates through C2C vendors Job Description Summary: The client is seeking an Accountant to perform specialized and technical accounting functions with minimal supervision. Provide assistance to Affiliate & Financial Reporting Manager. Required Skills: Minimum 2 years? experience in Accounting Excellent computer skills in a wide array of software application including but not limited to Excel, Word, PowerPoint, QuickBooks, etc. Preferred Skills: Healthcare experience Soft Skills: Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with all colleagues Possess analytical and problem solving skills Able to work on multiple projects at one time and flexibility to meet department needs Must be able to perform under stressful situation Good written and oral communication skills Education: BS Degree in Accounting or in Business - major in Accounting Responsibilities: Prepares financial statements and reports relating to financial performance. Completes variance analyses comparing to prior periods and budget. Prepares journal entries and account reconciliations. Reviews accounting transactions for proper classification in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles. Functions as a resource person to provide assistance to other accountants and managers both within and outside the Finance Department. Records bank deposits and processes transfers between bank accounts, when need. Prepares reconciliations of general ledger accounts and ensures timely resolution of outstanding issues. Maintains good rapport and cooperative relationships. Approaches conflict in a constructive manner. Helps to identify problems, offer solutions, and participate in their resolution. Assumes responsibility for performance of job duties in the safest possible manner, to assure personal safety and that of coworkers, and to report all preventable hazards and unsafe practices immediately to management. Conducts special analyses am projects as assigned am prepares reports detailing findings for manager's review. Assists in the evaluation and review of accounting procedures, policies, and computer systems. Maintains computer systems including establishment of new accounts, maintenance of conversion files, and design of computer generated reports and input of journal entries. May train employees assigned to the general accounting or other sections of Finance.
