We are currently hiring a Netezza Database Administrator to join our Health Care team in Providence, RI.
Role Responsibilities
- Provide physical Database support for Netezza \ Oracle
- Responsible for development and code implementation
- Will provide strong technical guidance to team to ensure the quality of the deliverables - Responsible for following Software development processes and methodologies such as Agile Scrum
- Will be involved in resolving complex software development issues that may arise in a production environment Optimizing Database objects for performance issues
- Working with development & support team for database object related issues and support
- Performing client administration and processes/functions support Performing application consulting, as required, to assist in performance or functional issue resolution. Providing advice and consultation to customer on identifying and correcting potential performance, reliability, capacity, and fail-over issues.
Applying DBMS corrective patches and fixes to known issues
- Proactively working towards reducing incidents with value additions and innovations
- Monitoring, collecting, and storing DBMS workload and performance data for alerts, trending, demand forecasting, and budgeting purposes as agreed by the client.
Requirements - 10+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Excellent knowledge of NETEZZA 6.08 or above
- Experience Developing procedures, functions and other data objects as per the requirement - Previous experience working in a Healthcare-Payer domain
- Excellent data Warehousing concepts
- Familiar with SDLC process
- Willing to work in 24X7 Shift environment
- Experience working with third party suppliers and vendors as necessary, to resolve problems
Preferences
-Oracle 11g with minimum 7+ years in providing support, analysis, design and development experience
